Polywater Pull Planner
Polywater creates adhesives and lubricants for customers building electrical and communication infrastructure.
The Polywater Pull Planner is a software tool that lets engineers design an underground cable system. I worked on this as part of the Emergent Software team with a developer and project manager.

My initial discovery included installing the current Pull Planner which was a Windows app and learning how it worked. I met with their team to find any current issues with the software and found ways to improve the workflow and reduce clutter.
A reimagined interface
The final editing interface made the app much easier to use and enabled new features like managing multiple projects, adding custom cables, and managing users. We also put in smart warnings to help users know when to anticipate challenges and how to navigate them.
The feedback from their users was positive: “Every cable that we have installed following a pull plan, we have had no issues with the cable.”
