Description
Chief manufactures and sells professional-grade tv mounts, monitor mounts, projector mounts and rack systems. This site is currently released as a static html beta site for user feedback.
Highlights
I designed (architecture, layout & graphics) and coded the front end of this site using html, css and javascript. It was then passed on to a .net developer and connected to an in-house CMS.
Designed a site that features thousands of products and recieves around a half million page views per month.
Used jQuery to implement user interface elements including mega-menus, a promotion rotator, tooltips and a fish-eye menu.
Implemented an HTML 5 video player that falls back to a Flash player to support older browsers.
Redesigned the site based on user feedback and testing with a focus on improving usability and user experience.
Added new features including product comparisons and saving product lists to generate quote requests & orders.
Integrated with 3rd party tools including WebTrends, Marketo (marketing & SalesForce data) and BazaarVoice (reviews).
